Privacy & GDPR
How we handle personal data, and your rights under UK data protection law.
Draft for legal review. This page reflects standard UK practice for registered children’s homes but has not yet been reviewed by a solicitor or finalised by New Dawn’s leadership. Please confirm all details — particularly any bracketed placeholders — before publishing.
1. Who we are
New Dawn Children Home Ltd (“New Dawn”, “we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing residential care and supported living services. Company number 17372454, registered in England & Wales. Registered office: 8 Keld Drive, Leicester, LE5 1EZ.
2. What data we collect
Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

- Basic technical data (such as browser type and pages visited) via analytics, where enabled
We do not knowingly collect more personal data about young people in our care than is necessary for their safe placement and support, and such data is handled under separate, more restrictive internal safeguarding procedures — not published on this website.
3. How we use your data
- To respond to enquiries and referral submissions
- To assess and coordinate potential placements
- To maintain safeguarding records required by Ofsted and statutory guidance
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations
4. Legal basis
We process personal data under one or more of the following bases: consent (e.g. submitting a contact form), legitimate interests (responding to enquiries, safeguarding), legal obligation (regulatory record-keeping), and, for care provision, the performance of a contract or task carried out in the public interest.
5. Data retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by statutory guidance for children’s social care records. [Specific retention schedules to be confirmed and inserted here.]
