How We Care

Homes built on safety, individuality and growth

Whether a young person is with us for a short time or through to adulthood, three principles shape everything we do.

Safe & Supportive

Consistent, predictable routines help young people feel secure. Our trauma-informed, DBS-vetted team is on hand around the clock, and our homes are designed to feel like family — not an institution.

Individualised Care

No two young people are the same. We plan care around each person's strengths, needs and voice — working hand in hand with social workers, schools, health teams and families.

Nurturing Growth

Education, health and life skills are woven into everyday life, so young people can build confidence, celebrate progress and prepare for a brighter future.

Why Families & Professionals Choose New Dawn

Rigorous safeguarding. Genuine partnership.

We work with local authorities, social services and families as true partners — keeping young people’s wellbeing, dignity and voice at the centre of every decision. Our Ofsted registration is currently in progress, and we welcome external scrutiny as a way to keep improving.

  • Trauma-informed, therapeutic practice in every home
  • Enhanced DBS checks and mandatory safeguarding training for all staff
  • Regular, transparent contact with social workers
  • Education, health and life skills support built into daily life
  • Family contact supported wherever it is safe
  • Clear policies, a complaints procedure, and openness to Ofsted scrutiny
  • A pathway from residential care (7–17) to supported living (16–25)
Making a Referral

From first conversation to settling in

Every referral starts with a conversation. Here is how we work with you, step by step.

  1. 1

    Initial Contact

Get in touch to discuss whether our services might be a good fit. We'll listen to the young person's needs and answer your questions.

  2. 2

    Information Sharing

Share relevant background information, assessment reports, and the young person's needs and preferences. We'll review everything carefully to ensure we're the right fit.

  3. 3

    Matching & Assessment

We'll assess compatibility and meet with the young person and their family (where appropriate) to explore how we can support them.

  4. 4

    Planning & Placement

If we move forward together, we'll create a detailed care plan, transition timeline, and support strategy. We'll keep you involved at every step.

  5. 5

    Ongoing Partnership

Once a young person joins us, we maintain regular contact with social workers, provide updates, and work collaboratively toward planned outcomes.
